You may be getting tons of positive reviews on your homemade wares that you have crafted for yourself or family and friends. You can make money from doing the very crafts that you so love! Etsy is a great company to start with if you have a specialty item that you wish to sell. For example, you can sell handmade jewelry, pottery, clothes, bath products, ornaments, edibles, illustrations and so much more on Etsy.

Etsy states that in July alone, they sold 487,000 items, with sales totaling seven million dollars. You’ll be charged just 20 cents to list each item and Etsy takes 3.5% of each sale. With Etsy, your products will be broadcast to customers around the world.

Virtual Call Centers

One of the more popular work-from-home jobs is answering in-bound telephone calls from major companies. A call service agent can make anywhere between $8.00 and $14.00 an hour, and many companies offer commissions and incentives. The field of in-bound sales is growing, with four companies say they will add at least 7,000 more agents to their company by the end of this year: Alpine Access, Arise, Working Solutions and LiveOps.

Freelance Work

Many businesses are constantly hiring freelancers who work out of their home to perform jobs such as software development and sales writing. Two different websites, Elance and oDesk, are basically serving clients as their middleman between businesses and job seekers. The two sites together have 20,000 open projects to pick from. The jobs range from $20 to $80,000 at various times. You simply need to post your personal profile and take different assessment tests that will measure your skill level. You can then search through all of the open job postings and start placing bids on jobs that match your qualifications. You determine your rate of pay. Some people start very low so that they can get their foot in the door and then raise their rates as they get better.

Tutoring Students

It’s always a good time to help students out who need it, both online and off. Check out Tutor.com, an online classroom that will allow students who need tutors for various subjects to connect with one using file sharing, instant messaging and interactive whiteboards. You may be paid anywhere from $10 to $15 an hour, and science and math tutors are always in great demand. The website is looking to hire more than 900 new tutors through the fall season. While you do not need to have a teaching degree to be a tutor, you will need to provide a college degree in the field you are wishing to tutor in during the application process.

Help Answer Questions Online

You have probably at one point or another looked for answers on the Internet and found yourself checking out About.com. This website hires guides who create regular, up-to-date content that is based on their extensive expertise in that particular subject. Simply find the newest recruitment categories on the website to apply.

About.com guides are paid every month and are compensated based on the amount of page views their articles get, as well as section growth. The average pay rate is $1,500 a month for writers working 15 hours a week. This adds up to an average annual salary of 18,000, just for writing about something you love.
