Did you know you can get Amazon Prime for free? No, I'm not talking about the 30-day free trial. There are a number of methods you can use to beat the system, getting access to fast shipping and unlimited movies for free. Some of these methods include credit cards and cell phone companies that offer free prime memberships, while others involve getting Amazon to give it to you for free. If you don't want to pay a hundred bucks for a Prime membership, try one of these slick tactics to get it for free!
Get a Free Month of Prime for a Late Package
If you are a prime member and didn't get your package within two days, give customer support a ring and complain. They will throw you a free month to make you happy. This works if you pay for the one-day shipping upgrade as well.
In most cases, if Amazon fails to deliver your order on time, they will extend your membership by a month. This free month doesn't happen until after your membership ends, but will definitely help you out.
If you want to try this method, simply get in touch with Amazon Customer Service and explain the situation as nicely as possible. They will often give you a month of free prime as a peace offering, or at least give you a few dollars of credit in your Amazon account.
The Email Loophole
Now, this sounds rather unbelievable, but Amazon prime trials actually operate per-email, not per person or per address. This means that you can simply open up a new Amazon account under a different email address to start a new subscription of Amazon prime whenever your thirty-day trial ends.
Just be aware that this loophole probably won't exist for long, so get your while it lasts!
Sprint Cell Plan Gives You Free Prime
If you are with Sprint or thinking about switching over, they have recently launched a plan that includes a free year-long Amazon Prime membership. It's called the Amazon Better Choice XXL plan. You don't need to be a new Sprint customer to sign up, either.
All you have to do is go to www.sprint.com/plans or give them a call at 1-(800)-Sprint1, or go to a Sprint store. They will hook you up with the Sprint Better Choice XXL, which includes Amazon Prime for Free.
After you sign up, Sprint will text you a link, letting you know how to sign up for your free prime.
Once you finish registering, you'll get all the Amazon Prime benefits for free for a year.
You can also get access to Amazon phone apps for sweet Prime content on your smartphone.
American Express Cards and Prime
If you are thinking about opening up a new account with American Express, they will often help you out by giving you a free year of Amazon Prime.
This includes the American Express Blue Cash Everyday card, which gives you no yearly fee and a 10% cash back for Amazon purchases.
If you are eligible, check with American Express, after which you can get your free year of Amazon Prime.
Free Six Months for Students with Amazon Student
If you are a college student, Amazon Student is a great choice for college students. Al l you need is a .edu account, to be enrolled in at least one college course, and to be living in the United States somewhere.
This gives you every aspect of Prime for free with the exception of Prime Music and Kindle Owner's Lending Library.
Free Shipping Sans Prime
You don't even need Prime for free shipping though. Did you know you can actually get it already for anything over $35? This sweet deal beats most companies.
Did you know that you can make this deal even sweeter? Although you can only get away with this a couple times, you can actually get the free shipping by adding a "pre-order" item to your cart. Simply add something to the card to get up to $35, and then remove it from your cart after the order has processed. You will still get your free shipping!
