When Will You Get Social Security in 2025? Complete Monthly Payment Dates

More than 70 million Americans rely on Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) to pay for essentials like rent, groceries, and medical care.

With inflation still driving up everyday expenses, knowing exactly when your payment arrives is critical for managing a monthly budget.

The Social Security Administration (SSA) issues benefits on a predictable schedule each month, usually on Wednesdays, tied to the recipient’s date of birth.

Meanwhile, SSI has its own calendar, which sometimes shifts to the prior business day when a holiday or weekend overlaps.

Here’s the full breakdown of Social Security and SSI payment dates for 2025:

Monthly Social Security Payment Dates in 2025

  • January: Jan. 8, 15, 22 (SSI: Jan. 31)

  • February: Feb. 12, 19, 26 (SSI: Feb. 28)

  • March: March 12, 19, 26 (SSI: April 1, shifted for weekend overlap)

  • April: April 9, 16, 23 (SSI: April 1)

  • May: May 14, 21, 28 (SSI: May 1, May 30)

  • June: June 11, 18, 25 (SSI: July 1, shifted for weekend overlap)

  • July: July 9, 16, 23 (SSI: July 1)

  • August: Aug. 13, 20, 27 (SSI: Aug. 1, Aug. 29)

  • September: Sept. 10, 17, 24 (SSI: Oct. 1, shifted for Labor Day holiday)

  • October: Oct. 8, 15, 22 (SSI: Oct. 1, Oct. 31)

  • November: Nov. 12, 19, 26 (SSI: Dec. 1, shifted for weekend overlap)

  • December: Dec. 10, 17, 24 (SSI: Dec. 1, Dec. 31)

SSI Payment Schedule (October – December 2025)

Unlike Social Security, which is tied to birthdays, SSI is generally paid on the 1st of each month.

When that date falls on a weekend or holiday, the payment is moved earlier.

Remaining SSI payment dates in 2025 are:

  • October 1 & October 31

  • December 1 & December 31

That means SSI recipients will see two payments in both October and December, but none in November or January 2026, due to calendar adjustments.
