Taxpayers in parts of West Virginia impacted by severe storms, flooding, and landslides that began on February 15, 2025, will now have more time to file their taxes.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) officially extended tax deadlines for individuals and businesses in the disaster-declared areas.

Why the Extension?

After the state of emergency declared by West Virginia’s governor and a federal disaster declaration, the IRS responded by offering automatic tax relief to those affected.
