What to Do If an ATM Takes Your EBT Funds Without Giving You Cash

SNAP benefits help millions of Americans buy essential groceries, and the EBT card makes it easy to access these funds.

But what happens if you try to withdraw cash and the ATM doesn’t give you your money—even though it deducts the amount from your benefits?

If the ATM Didn’t Give You Cash, But Deducted From Your EBT

Call customer service immediately: Dial (877) 328-9677 and follow the instructions to report the issue and file a claim.

Remember: The ATM owner or bank cannot give you the missing cash directly.
